Philadelphia Insurance Offers Reduced
Risk Management Rate for Clients That
Use CDS to Support Their Workforce
The College of Direct Support (CDS) and the Philadelphia Insurance Companies have developed a program to encourage the development of a skilled direct support workforce. For agencies that use the CDS and are insured by Philadelphia Insurance, Philadelphia will provide a 5% discount on the agencies’ risk management Insurance.
The CDS provides agency staff with on-line training curriculum and learning management tools that are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The curriculum is developed in subject areas that have been deemed as most important for people in direct support roles.
Philadelphia Insurance has identified 12 CDS courses that will help all employees and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) safeguard against accidents and other risks and perils associated with the work done on a daily basis. Philadelphia Insurance’s risk management professionals believe that the training Direct Support staff receives through CDS will make workplaces and homes safer and provide a higher level of safety for employees and the people you serve.
