Publications Overview
Staying connected and in touch is something we take seriously. In this section you will find our communications vehicles that we use to highlight best practices, who is providing these, to stay abreast of workforce development issues and to get us all in conversation with one another. Here is a lineup of those communications devices:
- A quarterly E-newsletter – Connections@CDS – that we use to communicate with anyone interested in the CDS, to share with readers the latest news from users and learners and to provide curriculum updates and news of interest about the CDS.
- Partner Profiles bi-monthly that focus on best practices and allow our end-users to tell their stories about how they use the CDS in their respective training programs and the results they see.
- Two Evaluation Briefs annually that evaluate the quality of the content, its ease of use for learners, the usefulness of its human resource functions and its contributions to the lives of persons with disabilities.
"What I like about the CDS program is that it’s innovative, and provides a standardized curriculum which ensures the development of quality in the delivery of service to this population. It’s not something I’ve seen done uniformly on a statewide basis. It’s important we try to cultivate and encourage individuals to enter this valuable service sector, and I believe this is a wonderful way to approach it.
